Today is the first day of Black History Month. I watched the NAACP Image Awards and was reminded of the class that Blacks used to exude. When I look around sometimes, I don’t see it so much anymore. From people on the streets to the Black stars of today, it seems a big show. Our old stars like Sidney Poitier and Harry Belafonte are men of virtue, men of honor. Ladies like Dianne Carroll are the epitome of the word lady. I hope I can impart some wisdom to the young ones that I encounter everyday so that they go for their dreams with integrity. Thank you to those who have come before.
